Colors of Nature

Blue. One of the three most basic ingredients of modern day color sets spanning most of the pixelated illusions we see around. Just came across a few more interesting things about the color Blue, in terms of cultures and history.

* Considered as a symbol of Conservatism & Conservatists in Politics
* Blue is the color Mother Mary wears in most iconographinc illustrations
* In Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva's neck is shown blue for the poison he drank to save the world
* Blue collar workers, the industrial class ... hehehe so much of this I can relate to being in Oil and Steel industries
* Blue notes are notes sung or played at a lower pitch than those of the major scale for expressive purposes

Yeah its the color truly deeply associated with two of the corporates I have(am) worked(ing) with Tata & Schlumberger

Picture taken last year in April, on eastern coast of India, at a place called Paradip in the lovely state of Orissa. Place famous as a major port(especially with FDIs in Steel in Orissa namely POSCO) on east coast of India, and industries like oil refineries-coal-steel. And this port is an artificial harbour using man made lagoons. Close to Sundarban Sanctuary famous for the Bengal Tigers. < Shonu's Orissa>
