Everest Hall

This building isnt one of those architectural marvels, neither is it exactly a great shot. But this place is something really close to my heart.

It was where I lived in Jamshedpur, made great friends and had my first days of corporate association.

Dedicated to the spirit of this place and the unforgettable friends I met here.

PS: Notice in the EXIF data, 16 seconds of exposure!!!, that was to capture enough light but also to avoid disturbances due to people crossing very often. I dont have a Tripod stand yet, so its very tricky to find places to stall my camera for such shots. Give me some credit for that in nite shots hehehehe. Oh btw it was a bike in this case :D

i am using a word i hate, to describe this pic... awesome... :P
seems like the brilliance of the lights is fighting the darkness of the night, and the building is a majestic spectator to this futile struggle....
i guess i do not know much about photography jargon and technique but i do know a good photo when i see one and this one is right up there... can you please mail it to me???

Hey Pranshu,have been a passive viewer of ur page till now,but must say this snap compelled me to drop in a comment (he he the lazy me these days at home!). Like someone commented here,it reminds me of my dear hostel too, the snap has a nostalgic quality to it and for someone like me who has just got over with hostel life,the emptiness of the place just makes me long for more of it! And the bright light above seems like a halo that seems to be saying :c come spend the best days of ur life here . Your picture speak a thousand words...keep up the good job:)

Hostel life has always attracted me for i have never had the opportunity to get a closer feel of a hostel day and night. Other than that....sometimes buildings do occupy a special place in the hearts, not because of its structure or design in particular but because the emotions that are attached with it, in it, for some precious times of our life has been associated with those buildings........this snap brings me in confrontation with my past (memorable- buildings). Till today i feel like visiting those places, when they are fully deserted, so that i can feel there, the presence of only two - me and the building i love .... :) he he he ...isnt that too romantic...!!!

Its a lovely snap Pransh........and the bikes there...hmmmm cool one !
