Baarish & Bhutta

There is something so specific to India. The Monsoon winds, and the respite they bring to the farmers waiting for the rains. Although the monsoon winds go overboard and do more than whats needed. And the most resilient of the cities come to a griding hault. This city never stops, and has this amazing unity and spirit among its people to bounce back to life and up running again. Lol thats hell of a digression. So the monsoon brings few of the most waited things on the street side food stalls. Bhutta Corn on the Cob..is one such. You find a lot of vendors with a small make shift oven fuelled with coal ... and these cobs are roasted mildly to give a hard cover to soft corn shells on the cob. Rotating it slowly .. to make it uniform and also the guy constantly keeps waving a fan to feed air to the burning coal. They then rub a lemon flake with some salt and spices over it and its ready to be enjoyed. Although in my house they used to Ghee (Theres no variant hence name in English for this) along with salt and lemon. Go get one on the streets right now. This is the day. This is the time :P
