Am sure this picture will make all of you feel nostalgic. Everyone of us as a kid, would have run to the puddles which mushroom up in our neighbourhood after the rains, and the streams flowing down the streets, with a paperboat like this. My grandfather taught me how to make this boat and various other variants of this one.
Clicked this last week during my visit to my home :)

aaahhhh.. !!! just what I was talking about yesterday.. :) splashing water and playing around in the mud puddles, running along the boats.. :D and me knows only one kinda boat.. the simple and the easier one.. :D:D

This is my fav. song from Jagjit Singh's collection, "Woh kagaz kee kashti...". Once wrote a post on it and this picture would have made it complete.

love these boats and they area tressured part of childhood memories...and yeah cant help but be cliche because I have to mention here about jagjit singh's gazal yeh kagaz kee kashtee yeh barish ka pani...as i kid wa always fascinated to watch the boat slide on muddy waters and rae the boats with other friends and propel the boat using hands and drift the water...damn feel like a boat race now...anyone game for it!!!!

paper boats... so much like our dreams, hopes, aspirationss... carefully crafted, well documented and with detailed thought process involved... but all it takes to reduce all that into a gutter choking litter is a torrential rain...
