Lazy Sunday Dinner

Posted by ConvexClix (Mumbai, India) on 19 August 2007 in Food & Cuisine.

A quick recipe for lazy sunday dinner.

There are several choices for the sauce but I prefer Cream sauce any day over Bolognaise or Arabitta.Take about half a cup of Penne pasta or Macaroni.Although traditionally in cream sauce they always make Fettucine the preparation is called Fettucine Alfredo. But I prefer Penne or Macaroni the tubular ones. They taste wonderful when the sauce seeps inside them.

Take about a cup full of 50-50 water and milk mixture, boil it in a pan. Once its boiling, add the pasta and some vegetables of your choice (peas, sweet corns, diced tomatoes, capsicum and if you love a tinge of naughty sweet in the cream ..diced Pineapple would be fantastic).

To make the sauce more creamier add a cheese slice after a minute. Keep stirring it and after around 4 minutes add cheddar cheese or sour cream flavoured seasoning. Or you can also go for some oregano and pepper with olive oil to season it.

Eat it with a garlic toast.

To make it little more cheesy and French add grated Mozarella cheese, buttered bread crumbs on top of the pasta(cooked completely) bowl. Now bake it in an oven. Au Gratin Pasta or a pasta Casserole is ready for your serving

And the song in the background, my all time favourite. Just heard it in the opening and closing soundtrack of the movie on HBO called the Inside Man. Way to go :D
