To the Rain Girl

This blog somehow has the tradition to post things on a delayed basis, especially, when it comes to particular dates. Be it the first post, Xmas, New Year or Diwali.

So heres another delayed post, dedicated to a sweet little girl who is just sitting there on a bench, on those far hills, under a red umbrella. The tiny droplets of rain jumping and sliding through the contours of batik print on her silk umbrella. There she is, lost in her dreams, playing with a weird looking ring she made for herself out of something on a lonesome sunday. A drenched squirrel runs by and shakes itself in an attempt to dry its body. It brings a shy smile on her lips. Drawing her joys from these tiny things in life. Its not easy to be that uncomplicated at times :)

With this wish that every drop of rain that falls from the sky should be that lovely smile on her lips. Happy Birthday to the Rain Girl.

The rain was delayed exactly a month when it eventually came on 25th of May :P

PS: The post was due on April 25th :)
